This is the lowest set of waterfalls on the Cataract Trail before the creek flows into Alpine Lake. It's one of my favorite locations to hike and photograph with beautiful trees, moss, boulders, and flowing water.

It's a cold and cloudy day in the San Francisco Bay Area...To warm up I prepared a "zuppa di spezzati e lenticchie" (split peas and lentils soup). I also added onions and kale to the base, and oregano, sun dried onions, and pumpkin seeds as toppings. It was delicious 😋.

I was perusing books recommended by my library when I saw this book. Never judge a book by its cover but... it was very appealing and I could not resist.

The puntarelle in our vegetable garden are blooming. It's really a wonderful vegetable: the leaves and flower tips make a delicious risotto. The "puntarella" base makes the base of one of the most famous Roman salads. And the flowers are beautiful. #VegetableGarden #ItalianFood #Flowers #Photography
