The Lindsay Clancy case is devastating. It is very clear that women's mental health is not taken seriously. We are not listened to, our concerns are brushed off, and we experience neglect. Sometimes people even accuse us of lying about our poor mental health. This is so dangerous.

You don't have to forgive your abuser by the way. You don't have to forgive your abuser or the people that enabled the abuse and continue to do so. Forgiveness doesn't always bring peace. You are allowed to be angry. You don't have to forgive them or have any compassion for them.

The past few years I have seen a rise in ableist language, and just ableism in general in left leaning spaces online. It's disappointing and hurtful but I think this is a good reminder to listen to disabled people and amplify our voices. Ableism hurts everyone.

I am begging the people who build government websites to take into account the number of people trying to use cell phones and tablets with accessibility features like large print turned on. It often causes hidden links and the inability to navigate properly.
