You told your story about meeting Douglas as you were adapting his work in college and said "Imagine if someone did that with Doyle!" and I wanted to let you know about August Derleth who did just that! His encounter was not as fun as yours, but he proceeded anyway!

That's really neat. We have a ton of fun reading through it as a group and noticing connections and new interpretations each year.

One last thing, did you notice that art002e0000192~large (the dark one) was missing almost all of the metadata and had JIF headers? I'm guessing they processed that one before posting it.

It's almost certainly the shutter (.25s) number, since the ISO is cranked way up and f4 would make for a blurry mess over 2s with no tripod. But I'm just wondering why those numbers don't match (probably my misunderstanding).

...well, more accurately, KINI's mother-in-law, Margaret Daniels, resided at the Robin Hill Convalescent Home here, where she eventually died in 1959

Having been a 23 year-old engineer, (and 26 year-old flight controller) myself, right out of college undergrad, the story about coming onto shift after a softball game (I played rec volleyball against & with many astronauts at the Gilruth Center as it was known then) really resonated!

I was a Shuttle flight controller in the oughts (started more than 20 years ago), and I learned about as much about Apollo 11 and 13 through the 13 Minutes podcast as I had in 10 years at JSC. I sent a couple of my MPSR coworkers links and am devouring 16 Sunsets now.
