A wordy type with tragically Canadian sensibilities and a penchant for cocktails, culture, and criminally undervalued women of the past.
Do deep cut lists for the 90s, that are not radio favourites, exist anymore?

I used to order a Slow Comfortable Screw Against the Wall On the Beach in Manhattan in the 90s. 🍸

Did someone say John Sayles?

Before the Big Chill, there was Return of the Secaucus Seven.

Brother from Another Planet: Papa Pope is a mute alien in NYC.

Lianna: Coming out in 80s academia.

Limbo: An absolutely perfect film, and it has Kris Kristofferson.

I think it’s impossible to determine a satisfied whole. Largely because of the divide between something being ideological and something being directly experienced. Both in the person trying to imagine v. person who suffered it, and person who experienced a +\- result of the punishment’s parameters.

I don’t think type of punishment is the same as vigilance because one is about how the system and society works, and the other is a personal, idiosyncratic gauge of the idea of justice.

Everything. Ideas, values, consequences. Things that aren’t set in stone, never to be altered. They continue on because people actively and outwardly uphold them.

It always comes down to stamina. The common reason ppl give for cancel culture not existing is that it can end. But everything relies on people continuing to give a shit. From the cancellation of a show to someone experiencing ongoing consequences. Nothing is passively infinite.
