Proven Guilty makes explicit a number of things that had previously just been hinted at.

The Christian framing is firmly established, making this series essentially an urban fantasy remake of The Cross and the Switchblade.

This has officially become a hate-read now.

I hadn't even considered that, but you're almost certainly right. "Mixology and Murder" is the name of this series (this is the 2nd annual); I can't imagine he just found this laying around online - this is something he's generated. sigh

And dude smiled and nodded, and then produced this stuff.

I'm mad as hell.

But ... idk why. We discussed promo material at the beginning of the project. I voiced my objections to AI fliers. I talked about how it was toxic in the gaming community and reflected poorly on our creative work. I talked about how we could support local illustrators.

I am unaccountably angry about this.

It certainly seems like dude used AI to modify a reference image ("from an online source") and nothing more - he says the formatting, layout and other design work was all his.

So from his perspective, this wasn't an AI flier; he just used AI to modify 1 image.

He hasn't made any broad denial about AI use in the *rest* of the process, either.

sigh. Dude has admitted the vampire image was "pushed through Canva AI to tweak it."

Or maybe Harold Thomas Martin, held for 6 months w/o even an indictment and for over two years by the time his trial concluded.

Oh, I know - I bet you were thinking of how they treated Jack Teixeira. That must be it!

I mean, surely if propel credibly accused of stealing highly classified documents and obstructing the FBI's attempts to retrieve them are regularly released on bail, surely there are at least a few examples out there, right? Right?

Or perhaps like they did for Chelsea Manning?

If you or I had been credibility charged with stealing top secret documents, we'd have been coordinating our defense from prison. The DOJ ensures there is a two-teir system, with harsh punishment for little people and red carpets for the rich and powerful.

Except, you know, in the event of an emergency or any other non-standard event.
