The fact that Target’s Halloween costume resembling racist minstrel performers was even considered to be sold is instructive of why DEI matters. Any Black person in the chain of command for non-character costumes would have struck it down immediately.

They used 911 to start a culture war against the middle east. They thought everything would slide democratic without an ounce of evidence. The people became fed up, rejected Bush, rejected HRC, and elected Obama. A rout of institutional power which they have fought since. They/Trump=not the people.
