I just want more sane people and less “we don’t need to feed them kids”. Formerly @crashtestmeg on the bird site.
Meditation and sunlight first thing in the morning and then eating right and moving really works. And that is so fucking irritating.

Imagine having grifted millions and millions of dollars off your father’s political career like Don Jr, including government contracts in multiple businesses where you have an ownership stake, and STILL having a Russian oligarch pay for your lavish wedding. Just obscene.

Trump can't run for president again, so why in the name of God does he have a political slush fund of $850M and growing -- that's he's still hoarding even as the GOP is poised to lose control of Congress? Does he have a scheme to take it with him?

My new column www.inquirer.com/opinion/trum...

Why does a POTUS barred from running again have nearly $1B in campaign funds? What will he do with the money?

This is a tax guy. His advice could be the difference between someone having their assets seized & maybe going to jail, or not.

Now imagine having to worry about racist shit in every interaction you have with any person in authority. Every doctor & nurse, every cop, every lawyer & judge, every boss
A HMRC official was sacked because he was caught on camera saying he gives wrong information to black and brown people when they call for advice in a bid to sabotage them. He was a member of the far right group Patriotic Alternative.

How many more?

IN A NATION OF LAWS HE WOULD HAVE BEEN DRAGGED OUT OF THE WHITE HOUSE IN HANDCUFFS 🤬

Something crucial to understand: Trump views commerce the way he views his businesses. His businesses got goods and labor, and then simply refused to pay for them. The "paying for them" is what he counts as commerce. In his mind, "not doing business" means getting things from people and not paying.
“We could do tremendous good for ourselves by just not trading with countries” — Trump’s bonkers view of trade is that you become wealthy by not engaging in commerce

The bar for progressive policies is: "did this unilaterally solve the entire gigantic systemic issue without making a single person sad?"

The bar for conservative policies is: "did the people pushing this yell out the name of a real problem before doing something unrelated, cruel and ineffective?"
Opposing a policy that would increase city revenue because the city doesn't have enough revenue, chef's kiss.

I don't think it should be controversial to say, "we will not provide financial or military assistance to a country where the Minister of National Security brags about popping people's dreams of 'food' and 'education' then sending them to a prison where they are starved."
Ben Gvir posted this video on twitter today which shows fat and happy Palestinians on a conveyer built going through the Israeli "prison" (torture camp) system and coming out emaciated and maudlin. This is textbook genocidal content.
