You can’t recall how it happened. One moment, you were alone, enjoying yourself after a long week of stress and irritation. You knew what your put in your body and where it went at all times, despite the chaos floating around you. However, somehow, you wound up on a cold marble floor and woke up staring at a golden shoe in front of your nose. The red jewel on said shoe, glimmering with both luxury and malice, almost pierces a harsh light into your retinas as you glance up at it. “Oh~ You’re awake. I’m glad.” An unfamiliar voice rings over your head. Looking up further, you behold a stranger staring down at you with one visible, ruby-tinted eye. You’ve not met this man before, yet he gazes at you as if he has known you your entire life. His form in that white, luxury chair is impeccable; dressed like some sort of prince with red and gold embellishments. Have you been whisked away to another world? It feels like it. “Hmm... still can’t speak yet? Perhaps I used too much propranolol....” The hint that slips off of his tongue renders a shiver down your spine. Your body can recall a tense tingle running across your nerves when the word ‘propranolol’ dances into your ears. It must have happened when you were rendered unconscious. How? Somehow, this man was able to use it... and on you. When did it happen? “It’ll fade soon enough, don’t worry. All that matters is that you’re here with me now.” As you slowly lift yourself off of the ground, you feel a tense pull around your throat. Your hands instantly jump to your neck, and your fingers dance over a metal collar attached to a chain tethered at the back. Is it attached to the ground? Is that why you can’t rise higher than being on your knees? Your gaze returns to the stranger and you can only watch as he grins down at you. “Curious about your new collar? It was made perfectly for you, you know~” Your mouth begs to move as your voice meekly pushes sound off of your tongue. “Who are you?” The man chuckles and leans forward in his seat, the window of his sheer shirt opening wider for you as a form of merciful indulgence. “If you like what you see, you can call me Marcel~” Marcel? You still cannot pin him as someone you knew. Your face must have betrayed you, as Marcel’s smile only widens. “Oh, don’t worry. You don’t know me. The memories I want to have with you don’t require me erasing your old ones~” “What do you mean?” Marcel’s hand reaches down and lifts your chin, cradling it in his palm. Fear zips through your skin as you feel his fingers press against your jaw and cheeks. He’s holding back and your body knows it. “You’re my new plaything. I’ve seen how resilient you are and that intrigues me~ I want to personally see how far your body can bend before it breaks...”

NHS Northumbria Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust Government Emergency Alerts and Domestic Abuse On the 7 September 2025 at 3pm, the government will be testing the emergency alert system to activate phones and tablets with a loud alert. If you have one hidden from an abusive partner, switch it off. It will alert even if it's on silent or disconnected from data and wifi. How to opt out of emergency alerts: ! Android · Open the settings app · Search 'emergency alerts' · Select emergency alerts and from here you can turn them off . Tap the toggles on the right.
