Very nice indeed. Waterproofing is the main need here. Snow isn't really a problem.

What I meant was flat footbeds work better with orthotics of all types, though flat feet are not my problem. Other family members have flat feet though. It's no fun. The military (around here anyway) make boots with flat footbeds nowadays.

Yes. I need to use an orthotic on one foot, so I must have a flat footbed. Most modernish combat boots are waterproof and fairly rugged. You may find a bargain online. Good luck!

Not really a city lover, but it's small enough that I could probably cope. The suburbs have about a third the population density of England, so it's not exactly crowded outside the centre 😉

It's quite good fun, but is biased toward American English and refuses to accept valid words that are "not in the set". I'd still play it again.

Yes, but failure to achieve a signal lock usually results in a black screen, possibly with an unhelpful message. It wouldn't be hard to display white noise instead.
