Still a freak, probably more so.
It wasn’t even a bad call in the long run b/c everyone has kept engineering sedans for Europe or China, they just weren’t being federalized. The Germans have been doing the same with hatchbacks, which is why we get the CLA and F44/74 2 series on Sixt lots instead of the A-class and 1 series.

Like the current Charger is longer and wider than a minivan. It’s literally as American as you can get but the boomer troglodytes and chuds won’t buy one without a V8, never mind that the Turbo 6 is putting out 420-600hp.

This gen Charger is a magnificent sales flop too, despite being by all accounts god’s perfect Mopar product. Unreasonably large, poorly built and entirely too fast. Which if Americans actually bought EVs, the parking lots would be full of the things because it’s absurdly large.

They made mostly competitive products, but the last time any of their normal ones was best in class was like the 1st gen Focus.

It made sense to can them ten years ago b/c they just weren’t worth it marginally, but that was in ZIRP with cheap gas.

It goes from being impossible to a small business with tax advantages. It’s an incredibly wide gulf.
But it’s still part of the difference between me having to fly two hours if I actually want to go to services (because the last congregation petered out in 2023) and having them down the block.

Yeah I think it’s down to a bunch of factors that are trending positive but not yet. Tbh the Gubenatorial race there is deeply weird to the point I kinda wonder if Donalds being black, a transplant and MAGA might further depress republican turnout.

Like I want to say Pride of Aloha people spent double what the California-based cruises did? Which was still nothing compared to the resort visitors.
September 22, 2026 at 5:53 AM
It’s a weird nuisance industry in a lot of ways, like when I did tourism stuff, we’d get slammed on cruise days but that foot traffic didn’t really translate to coffee sales. And even then it was pretty ship specific because anything with a casino bought way less.

Yeah it’s a ton of people getting kicked up into a frothing rage when this is closer to a lot of Sanrio stuff where it’s pretty obviously aimed at adults, but like triple the price. Totally reasonable, but also UI’s just not a good fit for it.
Merch looked pretty good for a pop up collab too.

This is a state thing, and the Feds don’t have a reason to be involved, nor good tools to deal with it beyond the FBI. Not everything has to involve the Feds either.

Tbh cities with a pop under like 50k shouldn’t exist at all, and cities should just devour their viable suburbs, or amalgamate. Most areas really don’t benefit from split local government.

Also tbh NYC should extend to the Connecticut border.

Yeah the BIA police are pretty explicitly a fallback thing, with the goal being to have tribes being about as sovereign as they can be, which is like the only valid reason I can see to let a law enforcement agency be that small.
September 16, 2026 at 1:27 AM
That issue with First Nations communities is why the BIA Police for the smaller reservations in the US pretty much only recruits from tribes.

Idk go ask the Snapewives.
September 15, 2026 at 10:59 PM
Honestly I just rushed like half of them down with a mega lopunny. Otherwise it’s fun but the controls and camera kinda suck, especially when handheld. Would be cool to see it polished more though.

Yes
September 15, 2026 at 8:06 PM
That said flooding the zone with slop is how you make money on Kindle Unlimited so I’m not surprised AI has found a place there, displacing some of the monsterfuckers and royal road rejects.
September 15, 2026 at 6:37 PM
The thing is if this wasn’t AI it’d actually be interesting because teachers write some weird shit when they vent. But the slop machine probably isn’t gonna do that.

Ngl a pretty nice comparison would probably be the Ross rifle vs the Mannlicher M1895, (albeit with the development trajectory reversed.) it’s amazing and it has all these nifty features, but the not even that simplified relative is a better weapon for an army.
