Even now, in this continuation of an aftermath, I worry — that I've lived through devastation only to watch him go beyond my reach.

Even though I'd wanted to live, be selfish, take things for granted, travel, indulge in delicious food, make art, relish in tiny joys, see friends, see loved ones, be there for family, not give my parents the sadness, grow old with him. I'd worried about him the most; his sadness, his lifetime.

And that would be that.

I'd thought about how, if I went, I would simply disappear from a plane of existence already over-stimulated by things far more significant than the passing of a single human life.

I couldn't...to more tenuous connections, newfound friends, yet to bloom into full friendships, foundations not yet formed. I couldn't...to fairly good friends who'd already experienced devastating loss by a creature of the same name, possibly traumatized again.

How so? Perhaps in thinking that "to do" is "to be?"

Sigh...I've gotta address the hiring guidelines with HR.

In my limited experience, do I even have thoughts worth being perceived? To believe I am putting forth the smallest crumb of an idea, only to have it dissipate into dust at the slightest hint of perception... At least I have you, dear collective of nothingness and kind strangers.

...that it was interpreted in another way. I worry that I'm not as proficient in the English language (my native language) as I thought I was — that I'm something to the effect of three raccoons in a trench coat playing pretend on literacy and coherence.

In general, maybe it's just unproductive to apply ranks to things that are capable of being uniquely appreciated.

I imagine that "best" is a strange qualifier in its own right, more suitable for things with a singular measurement. Perhaps the difficulty with it is that some parts of a whole are incomparable or non-transferable. I don't know.

What about Chihayafuru in particular do you attune to?

I gotcha! Sorry, I hadn't meant to phrase it in a way that negated Demon Slayer's greatness, as it's incredibly artful in its character development and style -- just wanted to mention how overlooked the other two are.

While Demon Slayer is wonderful, Silver Spoon and Chihayafuru are exceptional and don't seem to get the credit they deserve. Haven't seen the others, but I might have to since I do appreciate One Punch Man.

What *are* people's base definitions of what it means to be a human? And then, to ask..."what does it mean to be a human?" seems entirely too broad despite the differences in treatment, gender aside. I'm genuinely curious.
