On my flight home, the middle seat in my row was empty, so my rowmate’s service dog got to sit between us 🥹

I was so good; I didn’t pet the adorable service dog. I should get a gold star in restraint 😂

I recently finished The Forge and Fracture Saga, and let me tell you—don’t sleep on this trilogy!

#booksky #bookrecs
The covers for The Forge and Fracture Saga trilogy set on a glittery gold background. The titles are: That Self-Same Metal, Saint-Seducing Gold, and Iron Tongue of Midnight. There is black font around the image that says: Badass FMC, Fae vs Orisha, Shakespeare, and Queer Rep

The only way for off-the-books engineer Avery to win the meds he’ll die without is to enter a dangerous job contest. He must return to a desolate Earth, build a spaceship and fly it back to Titan. Should be easy, if not for his vengeful ex who's the best pilot in the competition.

SALTBURN X SECRET HISTORY
After a suspicious death on campus, the prestigious men’s club opens its doors to one reporter to observe their secret rituals but what seems harmless quickly turns sinister.

Not all gods are meant to be worshipped.

Some are meant to stay dead.

💎 forget healing crystals—these crystals will mess up your vibes so bad

#DVPit #YA #SF #LGBT #ND #TV
A moodboard with blue tones. At the center is a glowing blue planet. Surrounding it are: a snake, a cluster of glowing crystals, neon lights forming a geometric pattern, futuristic blocks with glowing lines between them, a pair of hands, some glowing optic fibers, blue crystals laid out in several rows, and some bioluminescent waves. There are two neon squares overlaying the moodboard—one smaller one outlining the plannet at the center, and a larger one crossing through the corner images. Art of Ren and Micah from my YA sci-fi book, commissioned from artist kaizmos. Ren has pale skin and dark brown hair in a half-ponytail. Micah has brown skin and dark brown hair with an undercut. They are both wearing futuristic dark bodysuits with glowing blue lines. They are standing waist-high in water and surrounded by glowing blue crystals. They are holding hands and gazing dazedly at each other.

My WIP is in the super early stages of drafting, and it’s for fans of A KNIGHT’S TALE

#DVParty
A mood board composed of nine images: a castle, a gold masquerade mask, a chess set, a carving of a bard strumming a lute, a drawing of a lady knight on a horse, a blacksmith hammering a red hot piece of iron on an anvil, a closeup of a knight’s hip showcasing a sword in a scabbard, a golden crown with a cross and emeralds, a photo of a girl in knight armor laying in a field. The images are from copyright-free sites Pixaby and Unsplash.

I’m doing today’s #DVParty prompt a bit differently. Instead of one meme, here are a few meme easter eggs you can find in my YA fantasy! It was so fun adding them in 😁

Included: AVATAR: THE LAST AIRBENDER, THE EMPEROR’S NEW GROOVE, and MONTY PYTHON AND THE HOLY GRAIL
Screenshots of three different pop culture easter eggs you’ll find in my YA fantasy manuscript. The first is a screenshot of the cabbage man from the show “Avatar: The Last Airbender” hugging one of his beloved cabbages. The second is Kronk from the movie “The Emperor’s New Groove” talking to a squirrel with the caption, “squeaky, uh, squeak, squeaker squeakin.” The third is a screenshot from the movie, Monty Python and the Holy Grail with the caption, “Listen, strange women lying in ponds distributing swords is no basis for a system of government.”

My YA fantasy is dual POV, and their vibes are basically Kate the blacksmith from “A Knight’s Tale” and Hiccup from “How to Train Your Dragon” 😁
#DVParty
Two photos with a foggy forest in the background and the title “Dual POV character inspiration.” The first photo is of Kate the blacksmith from the movie “A Knight’s Tale” saying, “Did they say I couldn’t do it because I’m a woman?” and the second photo is of Hiccup from the movie “How to Train Your Dragon” saying, “You just gesture to all of me.”
