Going vegan accomplishes more than saving animals from cruelty, abuse, suffering and an untimely death. It also has a significant role in reducing environmental destruction due to the large demand for land and resources necessary to raise animals for food and other purposes.

I already posted about this a few times but felt I should mention it another time. People have little perspective on the extent of how animals are used in our daily lives. The manufacturing of car tires for example require stearic acid which gives them elasticity and durability during vulcanization.

Not exactly. There are whole industries dependent upon animals for the production of goods and services. For example the leather industry requires that 340 million cows be slaughtered each year just to satisfy the demand for leather shoes and upholstery.

I believe civil rights activist Grace Lee Boggs when it comes to protests. Our demonstrations must be different in that they demonstrate/show others the changes in ourselves that will create the world ahead of us. Standing on the street corners holding signs and singing kumbaya isn't going to cut it

New Jersey's e-bike law is over the top and pretty much prohibits anyone from using them. It requires licensing, insurance and proof of ownership. Only those 15 yrs and older may ride an e-bike.

The air quality is in the orange range at 122 and the temp is a comfortable 76F. So we are enjoying our evening outside. Lexi and 5th turned 2 yrs old this week.
Why is she named 5th? Well, she was the 5th and last of the feral litter of kittens I trapped and tamed 2 yrs ago.

I was in highshool in the mid 80s but don't recall reading any books because I was hungover or passed out in class. However I now have a book collection of around 1,500 books. These are just a few in my to read pile.

For years I have been saying that leather/animal hides isn't a by product of the meat industry. Nearly 50% of leather is used just to produce shoes. Changing diet won't change the huge demand for cows, sheep and goats by the leather industry.

Jonathan... #5 is dietary but that's pretty narrow when animals are used by other industries such as leather and adhesives. Changing diet won't change the huge demand for cows, sheet and goats by the leather industry. How have you taken that into account?
