Although I have to say I found the new graphics were a bit of a distraction, as in some places the highly detailed scenes made it harder to see the enemies further away. Or maybe it's just my old eyesight at play... 😅

The drone also has a "virtual cockpit" feature that enables you to, for instance, ride a dragon in the sky... 😎 There are a number of different "cockpits" to choose from. I wonder if it might be possible to make own ones... X-wing piloting would be cool, gunning down an alley 😉

The "VR" flight tutorial, you can fly around this island environment with the headset and hand controller just like the real drone, but in a safe virtual environment. I did collide with things in this environment and was like phew that would have been unfortunate with the real drone... 😅

I read this in my teens decades ago and it was one of the books that locked me in on sci-fi for all time. Quite a ride.

I'd say the top image is from the game, the plane looks too shiny (reflections on the rudder and fuselage) and I think some of the shadows on the plane are also wrong. Lower image looks a bit "dirtier" too, the air and the plane not as clean as top image

I used to love visiting the US, did so many times in the 90s and 00s. We were planning a family trip there before Trump#1, but the kids were too small, so couldn't do it then. And since then we don't even want to go anymore. The only window might have been during Biden, but it was already too bad

Nah, just kidding 😂 Goal was to go and have a break at Paloheinä cabin cafe, a nice cup of coffee and a chocolate bun. Purely recreational skiing for exercise... Or WAS IT...?! 🤔😉

Still waiting for a supervolcano eruption, or a massive asteroid strike, or perhaps an alien invasion (3i/Atlas, hmm?) to finish off the game. That's what I did with the SimCity games back in the day... 3/3

A pandemic (nah, boring, everyone just locked down), extreme weather events and climate change (nah, boring, too slow and localized), and brutal fascist dictatorships launching imperialistic wars of conquest (ok, looking better, should launch more of these...). 2/3

Aside from the aerodynamics, the (in)efficiencies of the power train and cooling/heating of all the things have an impact too. But BMW's new iX3 SUV with 108kWh battery can do 600-800km (400-500miles, WLTP) on a charge and recently drove for a cool 1000km/620mi (slowly).

BMW has apparently driven their Neue Klasse iX3 SUV for a thousand kilometers (620 miles), in about 22 hours and at about 30mph avg speed. It's got an 108kWh battery I think. I'm guessing it's smaller than R1S or most other american EV SUVs, though.
