It is simply dumbfounding how every article on this topic excludes the positions of Tribal Governments in the region who rely on the Mulchatna herd. Tribal governments may be for or against it. I have no idea, but reporting should include them.
At this point, it's either intentional and/or lazy.

Of all the articles on this bear shooting, not one has included the perspectives of Tribal Governments that rely on the Mulchatna herd. AFN passed a resolution in support of the bear culling, which articles rarely mention as well. It’s just odd all these articles are about bent Anchorage folks.

Agreed. Now should out-of-state and international mining companies be a priority of Alaska’s delegation?

100%. I deal with this all the time in archaeology and historic preservation. I try explaining to my peers that they need to write their reports and letters in language everyone can understand when we’re consulting with Tribes and the public about historical places the community cares about.

Ask Representative Begich who asked him to introduce this resolution. He’s not the originator of this idea.

This August in Anchorage has an amazing amount of no rain days.

Has anyone asked the Tribal Governments’ thoughts in the Mulchatna herd region? Ain’t seen anything from them besides an AFN resolution of support for this program. It’d be good to know their perspectives.
