any artist who pulls the "art is not/shouldn't be political" is immediately suspect. all art is political, and if you are claiming a carve out for yours it doesnt mean yours isn't, it just means you are not aware of how your politics is present in your art.

I think it's underdiscussed that a lot of the capitulation is likely directly downstream of governing boards being full of rich donor failsons that love fascism
Yes, a lot of academic culture etc. is extremely toxic and we've got a real problem there, but this problem I think is clearly the bosses.
