Last one for tonight. No not John Atkinson Grimshaw but a painting of Upper Westgate Wakefield (1896) by son Louis Hubbard Grimshaw (1870–1944). Like his father he produced many evening scenes lit by artificial light and moonlight. The painting is now in the collection of the Hepworth Wakefield.

one of my favourite things about my ridiculous little cat is that his best mate is the cleaner who visits every two weeks to help my disabled ass keep the place somewhat acceptable. he has appointed himself her supervisor and he takes it very seriously.
