Isn't it weird how alleging dodgy behaviour when someone is alive is met with threats of defamation lawyers and doing it when they're dead is undignified and unfair.

It's almost as if, stay with me on this, people just don't want to know.

It's the first column of the new year and it's grimmer than ever before, my friends.

Yeah we'd only still be waking up to genocide
Walz says Harris "would have been a fantastic president... we wouldn't wake up every day to a bunch of shit on TV. We would wake up to an adult w/ compassion & dignity doing the work, not a manchild crying about whatever is wrong with him. May his fat ankles find something today. Petty as hell."

Pointing out how safe DC by showing the low crime rates isn’t going to convince conservatives because “people breaking the actual law” isn’t what they mean by “crime”. To them, “crime” includes merely seeing black people, unhoused people, and anyone else the bigots clutch pearls about as “crime”

When loyalist paramilitaries say they want to work with 'landords' but not the local council or Housing Executive, that means forced expulsions under threat.
Just been told they were throwing people out of houses last night over Ravenhill area.

They are 'patrolling' areas and harassing people they deem a problem.

They protect nobody but their drug dealing, child abusing mates.
The prize for the worst article on the North goes to this. Was the journalist present? Do they live in the North? Are they black /ethnic minority/ POC? Do they face down the far-right and see first hand who is amongst them? [1/3]

What the fuck are we doing man
This abuse happened between the mid 1990s and early 2000s. In 1997 the South Yorkshire police had a case thrown out of court, after it transpired that they had made the Black male suspect stand in an identity parade alongside *eight white men in blackface*.

God, the number of people who were willing to believe that the South Yorkshire police were too woke to prosecute sexual abuse cases, when in fact the police force was itself an instrument of patriarchal sexual violence. It’s like a case study in the worst excesses of the British press.

Same thing happened with the Iraq War! So many savvy Responsible Adults later admitted it was a huge tragic mistake, but that somehow they were still right for supporting it when they did. Who did they still think WAS wrong, though? Those dumb filthy hippies who opposed it too early!
It is pretty noticeable that even as mainstream opinion on Israel and Gaza finally shifts, you don’t hear the Responsible Adults apologizing for punishing all the college kids protesting the atrocities. Quite the opposite in fact!
