50%+1 could end the filibuster, expand SCOTUS, expand the House, and enact PR by state.

Yes. This is what Dave Pozen called "hardball as anti-hardball." Dems should aggressively gerrymander, but with the explicit goal of getting into power and passing statutes banning partisan gerrymandering nationwide.
There are things that are bright red lines. To counter conservative and Trumpian suppression of free speech, you do not get into power and suppress theirs.
I think you can easily argue the ongoing gerrymander wars with no end in sight are different
