This girl I used to waitress with in Austin, we moved to New York together in 2003 on a literal Greyhound bus. Shared a fifth floor walk-up studio that, when it rained, had more leaks in the ceiling than we had pots and pans. We used to get drunk and smoke off the fire escape and do “sad-offs.”

Aw one of my favourite pieces of public art ever. Especially in its first home at the screen cinema. To my shame I didn’t know the sculptor’s name until now.
One of Ireland’s most prolific sculptors, who created many iconic public art works, has died.

Sculptor Vincent Browne created the Temple Bar Palm Tree, the Anti-War Memorial in Limerick, and Mr Screen.
