Seems like a good day to remind everyone that Trump’s ex-wife Ivana wasn’t an American citizen until 1988. She gave birth to Don Junior in 1977, Ivanka in 1981, and Eric in 1984. — Let’s cancel their birthright citizenship first.

There is an endless battle against anti-science and propaganda. Healthcare is most prominent in the battle, but we in the complex and diverse world of agriculture battle modem day Lysenkoism and snake oil marketing too.

Just to be clear, we reached the arresting-judges-and-deporting-US-citizens-without-due-process stage of the slide into authoritarianism today.

And the citizens in question included a toddler and a child with cancer who needs treatment in the US.

Who could have guessed that a morning Fox News host would not be unqualified to be the Secretary of Defense?

Look, I have a friend who's an alcoholic. I've known him for over 50 years. I love the guy....but I'd never loan him my car (I'd call him a taxi.) Oh...I wouldn't make him SECDEF, either.

A lot of what appeals to Trumpists about the sudden abandonment of Europe, Ukraine, Canada and Mexico is the emotional trauma it is causing.

They're turning what was perhaps an imbalanced relationship into an abusive one. The cruelty is the point, and the shock and pain expressed is the pleasure.

The contract is for a kind of food paste that, unlike most food, is safe to eat for kids with really serious malnutrition. I.e., kids who are starving to death.
Awful news --> Delivery of therapeutic food assistance to nearly 400,000 severely malnourished kids abroad is suddenly in doubt due to Trump-Musk firings at USAID, two manufacturers of the product tell me.

"Starving children are waiting," one says.
