Too bad research into cancer has been slowed so much. There were some very promising breakthroughs that will probably lead to new treatments once research starts up again.

I wonder if the hearing was moved up because someone in the Republican party realized that Trump is about as popular as a cockroach right now and they might actually lose the next election, no matter how hard Musk and the other oligarchs push.

Any idea when the vote is? There was a statement made in my part of the woods that it wouldn't be until after the midterms and so we shouldn't worry too much about her for now.

My overall impression was of extreme incompetence and total lack of understanding of what would be expected of her as commissioner.

Huh. My impression was not prepped at all. She didn't seem to know anything about anything, including what her job description would be if she were confirmed. I suppose that could also be following direction to not say anything to the letter.

I thought they were doing away with levels 2 and 4 and making level 5 a "once in a career" level. So this is actually better than I thought.

If inflammation during pregnancy is linked to autism, wouldn't tylenol decrease the risk (if it does anything...)?

Depends on how they use it, but if they use it to determine flight plans then yes, inevitably. Now, will the overworked air traffic controllers catch the error before or after the midair collision?

I've never seen tetanus, but I've heard descriptions of it from my step-mother who did see tetanus in an unvaccinated child. I really hope that I never see tetanus.

What worries me is that the Republicans don't seem to be panicking. Either they're so far removed from reality that they don't realize that they're heading for a crash or they think they have a way to cheat themselves into a win. I worry that the latter may be true.
