I’ve been thinking more and more about this tonight and while 9/11 was heavily on my mind, I’ve begun thinking more and more heavily about the BLM protests from 2013, but specifically 2020, specifically the reaction to them by Democratic politicians.
You know what? I’m fucking wrong. I keep trying to think people are that malignant. I keep wanting to think that people wouldn’t support the erosion of rights that people, especially marginalized, already have. I was born in 1990. They’ve been agreeing to it my entire life…

The deployment of National Guard troops into cities has been so normalized that it barely merits a mention in the press or among the public anymore. D.C. remains occupied, Memphis is occupied, so is New Orleans... It's incredible to me.

What has been the most infuriating to me in DC is how my neighbors normalize this occupation, thank the soldiers for they’re service, ignore them, think “they’re not doing anything” 🙄 or “they don’t want to be here” 🙄 while NG sign 3- to 6-month contracts to stalk Black people bc it’s easy 💵

ALSO, people DO protest and even riot in the U.S. It happens all of the time and in numbers. It remains baffling to me.

Can we all help out Alex here and dive bomb the AI slop plagiarism with 1 star reviews?
Oh this can just fuck off

An AI-'written' complete copy of my own book is now on Amazon; same title, more-or-less the same blurb, and exactly the same impetus.

Reviewers of Amazon, I urge you to absolutely dive-bomb this plagiaristic piece of shit: www.amazon.co.uk/FORGOTTEN-VI...

the Ohio Democratic party is purging its ranks by forcing trans people to either resign or go along with politicians who threaten their existence and calling a pride group an "unwelcoming distraction." If we're just a distraction, then win without our votes and get rid of the fake "pride" orgs 👍🏾

Hey since Jane Doe has been doxxed & people are sending death threats & swatting her-

Are the frat bros and the organization enabling this shitshow fair game now?

Maybe if victims of a gang rape can’t even have a fair trial and heal-

Then maybe the perpetrators don’t get to have peace either?

Seems Mamdani’s undisclosed Oct. 7 vigil will be at Union Square, given the barricades and sizable police presence (including either DCU or SRG, or both) and the presence of several dozen pro-Palestine protestors rallying outside the barricades. Also Mamdani’s security is there.

Arizona and Virginia, both of which are governed by Democrats, are ending Medicaid coverage of care for trans youth, Transitics has learned.

The bans, which go into effect on October 13th, mark the most significant Democratic capitulation to Trump's anti-trans demands yet.

Cowards.
Democrat-led Arizona, Virginia Quietly End Medicaid Coverage of Care for Trans Youth, Acquiescing to Trump Demands
The policy changes, which go into effect on October 13th, see Arizona and Virginia join Kansas as states where Democrats have needlessly opted to restrict Medicaid coverage of gender-affirming care.

To put this in perspective chestnut trees used to be dominant species in the United States. Billions of trees were killed by fungal blight and now fully grown America chestnuts are functionally extinct. There is no getting them back. Ever. All for a data center.

you may have noticed that animation has never been more in-demand & in the zeitgeist and yet, seemingly, never have media conglomerates been less willing to produce it. you may also notice these guys get multimillion dollar severance packages after they gut a studio. there is probably no connection
Skydance now owns Nick, Cartoon Network, Adult Swim, Comedy Central, and MTV, effectively ending US TV animation as we know it. Countless jobs will be lost, and fewer new shows will be created. An apocalyptic scenario for cartoons, yet it's maybe the 5th-worst thing about the Paramount-WB merger!

I refuse to believe guys like Bill Kristol, Steve Schmidt, etc. are on the level. It's all performative. They got locked out of the kakistocracy early on when they didn't take Trump seriously and said shitty things about him, and now they are looking to hit us up for their new grift.

ONE person. A single human being.
