I appreciate the recent uptick on this and i realise i never posted the updated version. So here we go, the spray here looks more natural and matches the flow of the river, while still retaining a bit of the supernatural curl.

Surprisingly, Airõdun-City's specialty is something immaterial, and maybe not what you'd expect on this world to happen.

A densely populated urban sprawl on a world that forces everyone to feel the pains of everyone else nearby, sounds like a hellscape, doesn't it?

Airõdun-City is not even trying to hide its industrial origin and focus. The robust but tendentially dark metal-facades of the towering buildings do little to actually propagate all the artificial light much, it all becomes diffuse haze, especially in this humid climate.

Airõdun-City sets itself apart in a world dominated by metallurgy and heavy machinery by having a huge integrated biotech industrial complex called "The Well". An interlinked system of corps and public-private partnerships; the city's prestigious mega-project.

Airõdun-City adopts the same cascaded democratic system as the rest of Delestra, but is also seat of the government for the entire republic. The administrative center show here thus hosts the city-hall, forums and senates for both the republic and city.

Airõdun-City, Republic of Îssælla, Delestra

A glowy sprawl amidst the darkness of this world.
Where Corp-Towers, Senate-Forums and Paladin-Orders are squished together.

Glowy-Dark Holo-Facades hide walled-garden sanctuaries.

The Vortex makes everyone feel every woe.

I found classic image-galleries to be insufficient to keep track of all the characters that live rent-free in my head. So, putting remnant game-dev skills to use, i made a little interactive chart to visualize them and their relations. I am hesitant to make it public though...

The 7 Worlds still puzzle where Timelimes came/will come from. The trees themselves are not immediately recognizeable, though the leaves tend to be oddly curled, foreshading the twisted, rugged appearance of the fruit they bear, perhaps another temporal trait.

The amended version!

So i tried my luck at an #artsummary2025 of some kind. I didn't finish all too much this year, so i also put in the items that are still pending in either state. Being a beginner still in my things, i don't know whether i did this right. I am pretty sure, i forgot something in there as well...

Wow, this one took a while to finish, and it was quite the journey, a bumpy one too. But i did need to get this one out of my brain to be able to focus more on other things really.

Taking the new Blender beta-version for a spin.
This sunflare-visualization needs a lot of work still, but being able to store arbitrary data such as electric fields in Volumes/Grids now is fascinating.

Another ref-sheet background, this time done using Blender's EEVEE-Renderer, which offers some astonishing performance for volume rendering. This one background is not quite finished yet though.
