I was.... incredibly busy the last week, amidst a heatwave that also robs me of sleep, so i am trying to slowly catch up to for both #Juniplex and #JuneWorldbuilders ...

#Juniplex

Usually, when there is a risk of Mirage-Members getting hurt, the groups do have medical professional amidst their ranks.

Emergency medical equipment is small enough to portable and stabilize even gravely wounded individuals on-site, so they can transported elsewhere.

🎭1/2
Q's on the #Juniplex card so instead I will be telling a silly story about this question. My brain mixed up the terms "wound dressing" and "field dressing," so my spreadsheet originally said "field dressing the wounded."

Do not field dress the wounded, unless you're trying to terrorize the enemy.

The digital infrastructure on the 7 Worlds is advanced enough, that communicating securely via a smart-device of your choice is not a big deal at all, which is probably the primary reason Mirage can exist at all.

Even for remote locations, coms are relatively easy still.

🎭1/1
What's specifically used by your #Juniplex organization to communicate amongst itself? Do they have something regular people don't have? Magical or technological?

Any security features to it in the event of enemies trying to listen in? Ciphers?
June 20, 2026 at 8:06 PM
#Juniplex

Mundane encrypted chat-groups or similat are usually enough to coordinate Mirage-Groups, sometimes they do use more elaborate tools, like the ones in business environments, but still, nothing too fancy, as long as it is secure.

And assigments mostly come naturally really.

🎭1/2
And as a lead up to all the fun action-y things in your writing, today's #Juniplex is how folks get the orders to do what they gotta do.

Commands from on high? Messaging pigeon (or whatever bird)? A humble job board or adventurer counter?

#Juniplex

Mirage's 'supply-lines', if you can call them this, are as robust as the civic infrastructure they operate in. Again, depending on the scale of the ops, groups have members in a variety places, being able to provide a wide range of different resources.

🎭1/1
Back in March I ran a game dedicated to supply chains (will do again in 2027 if this site doesn't blow itself up), so consider this a condensed version of that in the form of "logistics."

As I lovingly put on the monthly card, today's #Juniplex question is about "moving shit from A to B correctly."
June 20, 2026 at 7:58 PM
#Juniplex

DIY-Stores and Micro-Fabs are Mirage's best friends. Almost always someone in a Mirage-Group knows to use one of the small-scaled, but powerful very advanced 3D-Printers to create stuff. So most things you need for infiltration/espionage ops are not that hard to come by for Mirage.

🎭1/2
Stuff gets depleted, so there's gotta be a way to replenish it. #Juniplex

Are there depot stores that anyone can go to or is it "locked" behind affiliation and heavily guarded? Is it even more accessible like a PokéMart where you'd find one in every town?

Sleeping in hotel/guest-rooms, and/or in cars/vans is quite common for Mirage-Members. If it is an ops near their homes, then, well, they just use their own bedroom really, no need to organize something else of course. Maybe even share with a fellow group-member.

🎭1/2
After food, rest is uhh pretty important, so similarly to yesterday's #Juniplex question, today's could also be a tad loaded.

Are there living quarters that are magical in nature (easy to move/put up)? Do they double as vehicles? What are accommodations when they're not out and doing Things™?
June 13, 2026 at 8:15 PM
#Juniplex

Mirage-Groups usually travel a lot to coordinate their ops, so they just fetch from whatever restaurant/cafe/bistro/grocery-store is in reach really. More often than not one mirage-member can cook really well, so if there is a kitchen, it will be put to good use.

🎭1/2
Food is CRITICAL. Nothing'll kill morale more than bad food or worse, no food. So this #Juniplex question can be a bit loaded: food at home, food on the road, getting more food if needed.

Is there an dedicated cook for a team/unit? Is it a skill trained universally? Or something simply expected?
June 12, 2026 at 7:41 PM
#Juniplex

There is no 'standard kit' really, rather each Mirage group just gather whatever they need themselves. Stuffing the shopping cart in a DIY-shop is as much part of it as using a fancy micro-fab for the more complicated items, there is always someone knowing how to use these.

🎭1/3
It's probably not wise to go empty handed, so take this! #Juniplex

Is the starting equipment included as part of their sign-on process or are they expected to buy it before hand or pay it off over time (through work)?

Is there anything unique to your world included in the kit?

#JuneWorldbuilders

The gleaming white cliff-coast Cantarval is perched upon on is constantly used as giant projection canvas for all sorts of light-based arts, be it as huge art-exhibit or open-air cinema of sorts, sometimes combined with holographic arts as well.

🖼️1/1
#JuneWorldbuilders, what other kinds of meta-art do you have in your setting that I didn't mention the last few days? Do you perhaps have any famous sculptures, architecture, or some form of art specific to your world? Tell me about it!

Apologies, I am late/behind with my replies once more. I had busy days. Both good and... less good kinds of busy, but busy nonetheless. I will have to catch up in the coming days.

#Juniplex

As Mirage-Groups are self-organized, voluntarily dedicating themselves to the cause, they don't compensate themselves at all. Even if they acquire funds or resources during the ops, they anonymously donate it all to a charitable cause once they disband.

🎭1/2
Unless this is some carceral force, these folks should be getting compensation for their #Juniplex services. Insert the "angry man pointing at hand" meme.

Do they receive standard currency? How is the pay structured and issued? Are there ways pay is taken away or reduced (i.e. captain's mast)?

#Juniplex

As mentioned before, Mirage-Groups tend to be very mixed, since as all the skillsets needed to run op somehow find themselves in there. So most groups are as coloursful as it can get. Often, there are many specialists among them, but also people who can coordinate such ops.

🎭1/1
This is going to be a super boring post because it's all on the #Juniplex card so just... who serves?

Does the composition vary depending on a certain branch or role, and if it does, why? Are some races/species better equipped for certain duties in your world?
June 9, 2026 at 4:31 PM
I forgot to tag this with #JuneWorldbuilders because, i think, i am not 100% currently...
There are several editions of a epic tale going around the 7 Worlds, featuring a demonic war of roses, a story of both conflict and dark romance.

Now, several versions exists on each world, and it is hard to read at times due to the demons taking on various mortals hosts over time.

✒️1/3
Second day of my new "Meta-art" category for #JuneWorldbuilders! What famous works of literature exist within your fictional world? Do you have any "books within your book"? What are these books about? Why were they written? How has it impacted your MC?

As previously implied, Mirage just seems to happen spontaneously. Like a small-scaled collective/shared impulse, random people with a varied, often very specialized skillsets come together begin to run a Mirage-Ops. It is not even clear where the name comes from.

🎭1/2
How does your #Juniplex force get their members? Is it voluntary or conscription based? A letter someone gets handed mysteriously as an invitation?

How would they climb higher? Can they buy their commission, earn it via meritocracy, or through feats of valor? Do they demand a college degree? 😂
June 8, 2026 at 12:54 PM
#Juniplex

Each Mirage-Ops is composed by all the people who felt the call to participate it. So, more or less, each team is composed of specialists for whatever is needed for the operation to run.

There is no notion of having ranks or the like, it is not really needed here.

🎭1/2
Moving into the tangible #Juniplex specifics!

Are there branches like an army or navy? Or something a little familiar to the gamers like "tank, healer, dps" roles with special names?

What about ranks within those tiers (like within enlisted versus within officers)?
