Home brewer on hiatus, but enjoying plenty of cask beer when I can.
I'm not sure there's actually any difference between the regular and this one. Not that I've tried the regular one since I first saw it many years ago. I'll not be trying the AF one

I actually just took this picture about 15 minutes before seeing this post. Probably about a quarter of a century old. Might dust it down and stick it in the fridge. Almost certainly undrinkable. But I'll do the sniff test anyway and see

Well Fired from Loch Leven - Rauch Pale Ale. Very pleasant and in good condition at One Canon in Edinburgh. Lovely little pub with a top beer selection

Another regular v alcohol free blind tasting today with Tegernsee Hell. Unlike the Augustiner one I did a few weeks ago, this was quite easy, and I was very confident in choosing between them.

Note to self - must buy more Big Job. This bottle was tasting amazing. Much more enjoyable than the game of football I was watching

Back in Munich for the first time in 2.5 years. And Augustiner have released an alcohol free beer in the meantime. So today I did some science.

Newbarns Mosaic on cask, tastes great, and looks like the lacing is going to be epic.

I don't read PE enough to properly know their stance, but the most recent letters page I read (1649) seems to show a number of trans readers. Whether this reflects a change in stance I do not know.

Oh yes, what an excellent beer. So good I'd finished it before I'd a chance to get my phone out.

When I try to explain to beer drinkers, but not those who get too deep into it, what #Guinness is trying to emulate with nitro, I show 'em this video. This is cask beer looking at its best, all natural, not manufactured to look like something else. At the Market Cat in York. @thornbridge.bsky.social

Based on @raynewman.bsky.social advice testing out adding alt text. Surprisingly easy on here when you give it a go - also switched on setting in app to make me do it. A few sharing beers for a brew session today from random breweries
