We met first at an art show, a Halloween show I helped create, at a coffee shop. Well I met my dear stepdaughter first. She saw I had a few monster high dolls and took me to meet her mom and dad. Don't worry, they were long separated at that point.

Takahashi was the first time, way back when, that I saw a womans name on a comic. She invigored me then and reinvigorated me again this year, heading forward.

They had a small collection of Ranma 1/2 that I was always renting, just a few episodes and an OVA collection. Even to this day I haven't finished the story.

I did get to see some of Takahashi's work at the De Young this winter. Despite still healing from gallbladder surgery, we drove to the bay.

I don't do a lot of fan art, and it's mostly years after the fandoms have peaked, I hate watching unfinished shows, rooted in my years of the inaccessibility of anime in the 90s in Missoula. There was one comic store and a Hastings with a handful of titles.
