I’m relocating to Istanbul, and still have some WIP projects! I don’t know what but working has been a huge challenge recently! I’ll start exploring libraries to motivate myself, which was a useful strategy back in Oxford and London!

Algorithms built to catch hate speech sometimes flag the people fighting it. Antiracist, feminist, and LGBT+ groups get over-moderated because machines read reclaimed slurs the same way they read attacks.

While it definitely contains sci-fi components, it feels much more like a dystopian narrative fed entirely by reality #thehandmaidstale
She has been honest: whatever happens in this "fiction" isn't actually fictional, it happened somewhere, at some point in time. This highlights one of the oddities of categorising literary works.

Just finished #dunemessiah and I don’t see how the emperor of the universe managed to not move a single finger against his conspirators while being fully aware of most plans. This version of #paulatreides was too passive and cruel against #chani But this won’t prevent me from reading the third book!
