Last day working on this, I've had to stop myself. I wanted it to hold a depth of paint like an old Rembrandt but equally don't want to over egg it. Fine line. TIME AND AGAIN I TELL MYSELF, oil on canvas, 120 x 220cm #oilpainting #contemporaryart #bowie #alexanderjohnsonart

A great and distinctive graffiti voice at work in the back alleys of Las Palmas Gran Canaria. I saw a number of these in different colours and head styles but with a really distinctive mark making. I only photographed this one, wish I'd got more. #laspalmas #graffiti #streetart

Alex Pretti was an American hero. He saved lives. He protected people. He cared deeply about his community, unlike the murderous thugs who killed him.
The very last thing he did was try to help a woman who had been pepper-sprayed and violently shoved to the ground by ICE. 1/

New painting of one of the lead model figures I work from. This has ended up looking like my grandfather ( known as Pop) who died way buck in 1969 but I still remember sitting on his lap enveloped in pipe smoke. He was from a long line of itinerant farmers and gardeners. #oilpainting #oiloncanvas
