Headline's from today's news publications. A mixed bag, but mostly on the right track, with only The Economist expressing the horror of what happened. (And... Do better, WaPo.)

Today's @garbageday.email (which is glorious) is about Gen Z's nostalgia for the millennial era. But every generation goes through this. Millennials cringed in horror at their depiction in Girls; Gen Xers cringed the same way at Reality Bites. ("It feels weird to be so marketed to," a friend said.)

A sign that you are perhaps too online: Four letters for this NY Times crossword clue, and I immediately entered “duck.” (Reader, it was not “duck.”)

I'm thinking of making this my profile picture, if only to remind myself periodically what joy looks like. (Yes, I realize it's acting. I stand by this.) #IYKYK #ThePitt

Yes, of course the Gaetz report is damning, etc etc, but what's REALLY bothering me is the consistent use of two spaces after a period. Make it stop!

I can't get over the fact that Gen Z thinks they need $600K/year (per an @axios.com survey) to be "financially successful." On the other hand, this might help me in future job searches, since I'll likely be competing with Gen Z. "My salary requirements? Oh, I don't need much, just $500K a year."

If you’re feeling stressed right now, here is a picture of a sheep smiling at you. Yes, you.

Finally watching The Shield and look who shows up in season 2 — Kristen Bell as the girlfriend of a murdered gang member. (She cries in this scene. Crushes it.)

I love NYT Cooking recipes, but sometimes I love the comments even more. I truly can’t decide if this is parody.

Provincetown beaches seemed fun.

Fun with Google autocomplete, ie, I guess these are the things people think about. (For the record, I was going to look up “Does it matter if I check in for my flight ahead of time,” since I forgot to do it.)

The pressure got too much for me, so rather than come up with something original for my first skeet, I'm plagiarizing my favorite tweet. Which rhymes, so there's that.
