Fair play to the wife of a Caribbean man and mother of mixed race children being informed by the BBC reporter that she’s in the minority in her community regarding immigration and responding with, “Yes, I’m surrounded by bigots.”

New substack: Westminster politics is something which no intelligent person can look upon with anything other than revulsion. chrisdillow.substack.com/p/the-stupid...
The stupidity of politics
No sane person would run a household or business with the lack of thinking that the government devotes to its affairs.

and the EHRC aren’t commiting an ‘error’ they’re led by an anti-trans ideologue who is seizing the opportunity to drive trans people out of public life by issuing the guidance she had previously been unable to due to the commonly understood interpretation of the Equality Act bsky.app/profile/jame...
The Supreme Court case arose because the Scottish Government issued guidance that went well beyond what the law actually says.

It feels like there’s every chance the EHRC has just made exactly the same error in the opposite direction. And it could just as easily end up back in court as a result.

Nuclear thoughts time again: the biggest enemy of a nuclear plant (and any large infrastructure, honestly) is private finance.

This, from 2019, perfectly illustrates the absurdity. The finance to build the plant is double the cost of *everything else combined.*
