I’ve been saying this for the last three years - Big Video Game is 1000% pushing towards an all streaming future.
People acted like “This Is An Xbox” was the dumbest idea of all time, but it was actually just M$, once again, trying something a little too early. They’re all gonna do it.

We should fight hard against gaming becoming a subscription streaming model where we own nothing, and corporations control everything.
Capitalism wants us to rent and perpetually pay for everything in our lives. This model is terrible for consumers and creators for many reasons.

it is embarassing seeing Yakuza "fans" talk about this and borderline celebrating its failure. i've gotten the impression that most Yakuza fans now don't care about the game or the people who made it. they're just fans of Yakuza The Brand and Kiryu and epic Karaoke etc. it's like they resent Nagoshi
