Software simian 🦧, professional shaver of yaks, and weaver of jute. he/they. Minors DNI. If you know me from the bird, feel free to say hi!
Gotta love it when a month of on & off debugging comes down to a dodgy 5 volt regulator browning out when the indicator LED's get too bright.

Based on the momentary power blip and the MANY sirens that followed about 10 minute later, it seems like some unfortunate may have helped me finally test the Sol-Ark in a power out scenario.

I believe there are specific audiophile nerd points awarded for successfully re-capping the crossovers from speakers over 30 years old. I’ll take my points (x2) please.

This hateful thing is responsible for two home theater receivers going to their early retirement. Crossover cap exploded and would only short out and fault the receiver when the bass made it vibrate just the wrong way. New Advent recap kits in-bound…

It’s been an embarrassingly long time since V2.2212 actually spat plastic. Only one toolhead working presently, but all six are configured in Klipper and technically functional. So much more calibration to do for docking / undocking, etc.
July 9, 2026 at 2:02 AM
That took a gods damned long time to get to... I do *not* have spoons left to start physical calibration, but maybe I can make the ergableds match the toolhead colors.

The Basilmobile definitely tastes better than the one for bats.

For once, use a bigger fucking wifi antenna was the right answer.

There are days I wonder when we'll find out if Cameron, Hurd, Wisher, et al. had it right or if Charles Stross called it closer. Judgement or Laundry?

👂🏼🐛: “😳🤖” - 📻🧄

I blame Ergo Proxy for teasing 30 seconds of a six and a half minute song (including the 7/8 bit!) every closing and expecting that to somehow be enough to satisfy.

Check out that grill!

This is new territory…

You’re welcome to come at me about that waterslide between the two 3090’s, but it won’t amount to anything. Function and using available fittings beat form.

No results yet, just letting the pump run for a day or so to rule out leaks.

The nice thing about adjustable height desks is you don't strain your neck bashing your head on the desk.

I’m glad I have “Procedamus in Pace” in my music library, but the randomizer pulling that out when I’m expecting Enigma is just cruel.

Before & after. Basement stairs are much lies likely to kill, even if they look like a murder scene. Alas, yellow/black caution stripes don’t come in a rattle can, and my paint skills are meager. Thanks to @inquisitiveelle.bsky.social for the disassembly and clean out service.

I love that feeling when a specialized tool pays for itself in one repair.

Height-adjustable desks are so ergonomic. You can just raise the surface and comfortably bang your head against it repeatedly with little to no back strain.

I love having to explain to a highly paid security consultant that no, you can’t just reuse your predecessor’s GitHub SSH key. You’ll have to figure out how to generate your own. No, I won’t generate it for you and email you the private.

Is leaving the default random pixel GitHub avatar this epoch’s equivalent of blinking-12’s on the VCR?
