On further investigation, I saw logs confirming they were both shutdown, but the script controlling them turned them right back on when grid voltage returned even while still on inverter power. Added a 10 minute delay between grid voltage normal and turning them back on again. That should do it.

I was able to see from power draw that neither tub nor EVSE was drawing while on inverter. The car's long since charged to 80% by this time of day, so I wouldn't have expected any draw there either way. It wasn't a time of day the tub would typically be active either, so inconclusive.

Bad news, I didn't capture enough event logging from the EVSE or hot tub controller to see if the EVSE got a shutdown command or the hot tub contactor opened. I CAN see the tub power profile now matches its "just powered up" startup cycle though, so it's probably fine.

From the total runtime on inverter (just over 5 minutes) versus the grid voltage, I can see the grid contactor opened and the Sol-Ark was fully grid forming with no islanding for the required 5 minutes before syncing to grid & reintegrating. Return was seamless, no blip.

Good news, just barely a blip, and everything stayed on. Still need separate UPS's on computer stuff, but other than the fan in the bedroom bogging down for a second or two, everything kept going. Also nice that it happened only 5 or so minutes before I needed to drag my butt out of bed anyways.

Sampling interval is 10 seconds, and AC output power sagged to 216v for a one interval before returning to 240v. Grid dropped to 132v in that time, so looks like we lost one leg more or less. Grid returned to 240v within 3 samples.

The >50 years and older-than-me points will have to wait until this weekend. My original large Advent’s aren’t blown, but figured I might as well get the kit for them from the same shop and save on shipping. $24 seems like a good investment.

So far it looks like ~35ºC drop under load versus naturally aspirated. Also both cards are within a degree or two of each other rather than ~10 apart sometimes, no doubt due to one of the three fans failing on the "newer" used card. 50º at 300 watts dissipation (each) is a lot better that 85+.
