Contemporary philosophy is full of inveterate Realists whereas I'm instinctually anti-realist. (Atoms, void, and class-warfare are the only primitives; everything else is fake.) But where this comes out most is that to me it's just *obvious* that metaphysical realism about moral value adds nothing.
Do you have any philosophical intuitions that seem extremely obvious to you, but are highly disagreed about? E.g. moral realism vs antirealism, separation of mind and matter, possibility of free will, objects being able to have moral standing, existence per se as a positive good for humans etc

keep saying this: the most ingrained modern ideology (in terms of the thing that people believe to be true and natural without ever thinking about it) is not capitalism, it's nationalism and nation-states

i'd like to be really happy about the effort to make an open encyclopedia of cognitive science, but man, looking through the articles it feels really representative of cognitive science having become psychology+ in all but name, especially when compared to the MITECS
