The man who was so incensed by foreign politicians interfering in the UK's sovereignty that he ran a twenty year campaign to get us out of the EU will be fummin' at this. He'll be across radio, TV and social media condemning this threat to our overseas territory.

Given the daily, "Let's talk about anything but Nigel's £5m!", diversionary statements from Reform UK, how long will it be before Tice or Yusuf will be doing president Esposito's inaugural speech from Woody Allen's 'Bananas'?

I *really* hope Meghan, Duchess of Sussex has returned to the UK because she's been offered the lead role in the next James Bond film.

It would appear that all the people who were previously ... you know the rest ... are now a combination of Sherlock Holmes, Hercule Poirot, Sam Spade, Father Brown, TinTin, Lord Peter Wimsey, Brother Cadfael and Jonathan Creek.

To misquote well-known menhir deliveryman, Obelix, "That American is crazy!" ... and, yes, I know the village of indomitable Gauls was located in what is now France, and Goscinny & Uderzo were also French - but the Asterix stories were first published in the Franco-Belgian comic magazine, Pilote. 😉

1) To all the Reform UK MPs and their copycat fanbase ... we don't vote for Prime Ministers. This is basic stuff which you should know. The leader of the party with the most seats fills the post, which is why we got Cameron and Clegg during the coalition government.

I would imagine the man who campaigned for the UK to leave the European Union so we could regain our sovereignty and govern ourselves free from outside interference will be furious that the current American vice-president is telling us our police force has problems. 🤔

“We want to use Henry’s heartbreaking story to make change for the better. We do not want his death to be used to create further division, hatred or tension. We want his story to help make our streets safer for everyone.“ Henry Nowak's father

These are his family’s wishes. They should be respected.

“Once men turned their thinking over to machines in the hope that this would set them free. But that only permitted other men with machines to enslave them.” Princess Irulan (from the epigraph to the first chapter of 'Dune': written by Frank Herbert, sixty years ago.)

In my day, a decent assassin could get off three on-target shots from two hundred and sixty- five feet away in the space of between 4.8 and 14.6 seconds using only a bolt action rifle ... and when you tell young people that today, they don't believe you!

"Millions of American small businesses, including corner stores. What is a corner store? I've never heard that term. I know what a corner store is but I've never heard it described ... a corner store. Who the hell wrote that?"

The fact you know *exactly* who said this is deeply depressing.

Bruce Springsteen is making me a fan... Opening his concert in Los Angeles yesterday, worth the wait to see the transition to the opening song 90 seconds in. ✌️❤️🇺🇸 #Resist

Presumably all the cancel culture 'freeze peach' warriors like Toby Young, Hatie Kokpins and Laurence Fox will be across the media shortly, defending Kanye West and demanding his re-instatement at Wireless Festival ... just as soon as they work out who he is.

1/ Happy Easter to one and all!

Easter is an important festival for Christians, as they mark the sacrifice of Jesus Christ and his resurrection, but the origins of it are entirely pagan. It's generally agreed by historians that Eostre was a pagan goddess in the Saxon religion ...

Apparently, some people are upset that Mr. Bruce Springsteen's recent gigs have contained previously unnoticed political elements.

In other news, Pope Leo XIV appears to be the head of a worldwide religious organisation, and bears have been observed engaging in defecation in an arboreal setting.

With the destruction of four ambulances from the Hatzola Northwest fleet in London, plus the crash between an Air Canada plane and a fire engine at New York's La Guardia airport, armchair experts are unsure whether they should be counter-terrorism specialists or air crash investigators. 🤔

It would appear all the newspapers and talking heads who previously wanted us to 'Take Back Control!' now want us to be unquestioningly subservient to the wishes of the president of the US of States.

We have UKIP, Reform UK, Restore Britain, Advance UK, Britain First, the English Defence League and the National Rebirth Party (no, me neither) all vying for the support of people who love to paint roundabouts and cable tie flags to lamp posts. It's all gone a bit 'Judean People's Front', hasn't it?
