Our smoke detectors in church are all battery powered and some are in very inaccessible areas. This one is in the north transept and possibly the worst. The callout fees for a professional to replace them for us are of course horrendous

Good luck on your travels. We gave up #TravellingLight years ago having to take my wife's mobility scooter amongst MANY other things. This was our car rammed to the gunnels before departure last year

So up until last weekend I was the sole Churchwarden for my church. Today I "bunked off" and took in this view instead mainly because I was several thousand miles away. Am I forgiven 🤣🙏

Skipped church this morning to take in this view instead. Sheltered at a bar on the way back down that was belting out toe tapping gospel choir music and thanked the bar tender for #TakingUsToChurch
