When young, you have choices: marry? Who? 💍 kids? How many? 🧑‍🧑‍🧒‍🧒 College? What major? 👩🏻‍🏫 In middle age directional decisions are made cumulatively: who dies first and when? Did financial decision?s of decades past roll into burdens or freedom? How’s your health? Agency becomes path-dependent.

Lately, after I make political FB post citing my rural county Democratic Party, I get an onslaught of “vote red” and similar comments from strangers with very thin, out-of-county/state profiles. From 2023, but there are plenty of recent articles on this behind paywalls: www.pbs.org/newshour/pol...
Thousands of fake Facebook accounts shut down by Meta were primed to polarize voters ahead of 2024
Meta says it has found and disabled thousands of fake Facebook accounts linked to China that were used to spread politically partisan content in the United States before next year's election.

The Cornell gang rape feels a little like the “good” Republicans who aren’t #MAGA. Silence and inaction is being complicit. A thinking man would leave #ChiPhi entirely, not just on the #Cornell campus. And a thinking citizen would leave a political party with an authoritarian dictator at the top. 🇺🇸☮️

“Paxton spent nearly 9 years under indictment for securities fraud... He was also accused of bribery and abuse of office by eight of his own top deputies... But wait, because I'm still not done.”

I’m about 6 weeks into quitting my job while I get my master’s degree and so far the number one thing that is stunning me is how quickly the day goes because I’m getting enough sleep and I’m taking time to wake up slowly and I’m working on things that I enjoy and engage my mind. 🤯

When people say they’re anti-socialism or anti- socialist democracy, it’s because they know they have a bigger piece of the pie already and they don’t want to give it up for strangers who look and talk and act and believe differently than themselves, even if it would make the world a better place.

My three beers for the 2026 Hops and Coaster Drops event at Indiana Beach this year. I've gotta sample the bottled sparkling mead that might make a VIP hour.

The club is bringing 11-12 kegs this year. Should be a good time.
