How do they do it?! It was a very windy afternoon at Point Lynas (Anglesey) but this kestrel was absolutely locked in place in the air. Incredible!

How hard is it to photograph swallows in flight?! They're bloody quick and change directions on the spot. I think I've caught the bird bug, but I'm not quite at the level of @carlbovisnature.bsky.social, haha!

Bidston Hill looking very parched today, but clear views over Birkenhead Docks and the Mersey, towards Liverpool City Centre.

Home via The Mops, after acknowledging the 10th century Norse Irish Sun Goddess carving. Someone had left her an offering of seashells, which was nice to see.

I'm impressed with how a Raynox DCR-250 clipped on to a Nikon 24-120mm let's me see the tiny detail in the world around us.

This hover fly was kind enough to stay still to let me see those huge compound eyes!

I was in London back in May and I wanted to create a panorama of the city from Greenwich Park. I've struggled to edit this so I'm just going to post it as is. Any tips or suggestions to improve it?

When I was looking through my photos from the top of Moel Siabod I spotted something familiar. This is Liverpool city centre from ~72km (~45 miles) away. It's not the clearest pic but hopefully you can make it out.

The top of a tall (138m) concrete observation tower. The most prominent structure is the glazed "crows nest" that housed the viewing gallery and former studios of the Radio City station. The name of the station is displayed in yellow lettering that circles the crows nest.
