The extraordinary abandoned industrial slate village at Cwmorthin Quarry, Eryri/Snowdonia, in autumn sunshine yesterday.

Always worth a visit 👌

Grown in the foothills of Eryri, picked by members of the Urdd, packed by Gareth Bales cousin. Only the Welsh appreciate real Welsh tea

November and now the sun is setting behind the distant hills of Eryri, Snowdonia, when viewed from Crosby beach. These winter months can provide some of the best sunsets as the sun moves towards its Solstice position in December.

Cheating alert: in the absence of a #TreeHour I present the fat - and probably maybe might just flower 🙏- buds, plus a leaf, of Welsh aspen.

#wildflowerhour won’t mind🤞#nature #Eryri

When a supporter asked for a goat I just had to draw one of the mountain goats who live in my own back yard in Eryri (Snowdonia), you can often find them around the old slate quarry. Here's a photo I took from earlier this year.

Spent time amongst and admiring aspen. The few fragmented groves here in Eryri are on fire right now 💛🍂🌳

Good to see #nature doing what it does: these hazels are filling the gap left by the dead, decaying ash. The failing ash is ringed by bluebells in spring.

No humans were required for this bit of nature recovery🌳

I miss the dark skies of my childhood in Eryri. I was often night fishing so lying on my back staring up at the sky filled my young mind with awe...and questions...so many questions!

I know this spot. Beautiful. Grim... but beautiful.

I still love Eryri deeply, and am missing it, despite its best efforts to end me last year...

Hope all going ok in Salisbury?
