Trump’s tariffs on rest of the world are plain dumb. They’re an abuse of Executive power. They’re a tax on American consumers and companies. The USA has the worst inflation in the G7. On every economic indicator they’re damaging USA not Canada, UK, EU or Uncle Tom Cobley and all.

When I was a kid it was such a rare event to reach 26 Celsius that newspapers would have headlines like ‘Oo what a scorcher’. 21 Celsius was the best we expected in most summers. Climate change is real. #r4today

Water companies like Thames Water have for years paid out dividends without investing in infrastructure. A colossal ripoff of the consumer and public purse. They should be renationalised without a penny of compensation so our government can make the necessary investment. #r4today
