Nightmare on Oxford Street. 😱

It will be months before we can really judge the impacts of the #OxfordStreet transformation programme, but it felt pretty good there yesterday afternoon in the company of these people. #london

Lest we forget...

James Cleverly was one of three MPs asked to stand down as patron of a disability charity after voting for George Osborne's ESA cuts.

Not just a grifting, corrupt racist...

...but a bullying, misogynistic, corrupt racist, too.

She's just making stuff up.

It's so interesting to me how terrified Tories are of talking about #Brexit.
It's clearly a nightmare for them.

James Cleverly is an establishment Tory who has about as much chance of becoming London Mayor as Laurence Fox. Not that he cares. His candidacy is all about positioning himself to be party leader after Badenoch gets her arse handed to her at the next general election.

#PoliticsLive "You were a remainer but you're in a vote leave borough"

Danny Beales, "Common theme: we haven't got what we voted for, not feeling better off, public services didn't get the money they were promised, immigration went out of control under the Tories. People don't feel more sovereign"

Jeremy Hunt, currently opining about the budget on today's Politics Live... 🫩

Haha this is from the same Jeremy Hunt whose spending plans the chair of the OBR said it would "generous" to describe as fiction because "with fiction at least someone has bothered to write it down"

The thing to remember: don't look at Budgets in isolation.

Taxes have been rising since 2021. The extra tax we're paying this year is the *cumulative* result of five successive Budgets, under three Chancellors.

This chart shows who's responsible & for how much.

Lucy Harris is an evil little witch. Disproportionately allowed airtime on the BBC, along with all the other far right grifters and shills. The oil and pharmaceutical industry must be delighted with their investment. #PoliticsLive

James Cleverly backed Boris Johnson to be Tory leader - that alone makes him unfit to be the Mayor of London #politicslive. Then I remembered the incumbent backed Corbyn 🙄

Can someone ask Lucy (last on 2 months ago) about the loss of 6-8% in GDP due to her beloved Brexit?

"Short term, there will be an effect on the economy. Maybe 30 years. The price of democracy and sovereignty is high." — Lucy Harris, coordinator of Leavers of London (Aug 2018)

The great irony is, the people who cry most about immigration are the very people who are most reluctant to work in the care sector.

If we had more council housing, we wouldn't have to rely on private landlords.
The way to fix this is to replenish council housing stock.
