Yes! I did something similar with my wok.

Stainless steel is absolutely the way forward. We got some from Lidl of all places and they are incredible. Everything I cook goes in those, or a cast iron casserole/sauté pan or wok. Only thing I use nonstick for now is egg-based stuff
