I know it’s unrelated because I’m on the other side of the country, but I have seen lots of praying mantises this year. Most if not all of the little ones have been brown, but I have two big green ones living in separate sections of my garden. I just posted photos of them on Instagram yesterday.

Saw a Waymo car drive through my neighborhood. 😮 I didn’t know we had those here. Couldn’t quite see into it, but I assume it was driverless. Kind of neat. It paused for a few seconds across from my house and then continued down the street. Couldn’t get a photo but I think they all look the same.

I used my saved collection of movie ticket stubs to add 63 films to my watched movies diary on Letterboxd. The oldest one was from 1999, when I saw “The Blair Witch Project”. Apparently I went to see “The Green Mile” on January 1, 2000, which seems weird but I guess it happened.

I can’t figure out - do I have too much stuff because I keep tins around, or not enough stuff because I have nothing to put in them? 🤔 It’s too bad I have that nice sewing basket, so now there is nothing to keep in my cookie tin either. 😂 (The little one has picture-hanging hooks in it.)

That’s a clever use for it! Are any of your boxes wood? I feel like that would be more sturdy, but then probably wouldn’t have full-size art on it. I have two tin containers I like. I keep some trinkets in the smaller one, but the big one has been empty since I ate all the moon pies that came in it.

Now I suddenly want some cigar boxes, even though unlike you I don’t think I have anything to put in them. But then I only want one or two, not 40. 😅 I actually have one already but it’s not very exciting. I kept my liquor store receipts in it, but it got full so I had to quit drinking.

I last ate red meat in 2020, poultry in 2021. After 4½ years of pescatarianism, I think I am ready to try and become a full vegetarian. Thank you to this fish (or two) who gave its life for me. I hope you will be the last animal I ever ask to do that.

I meant to reply when you first posted about this. I had a similar problem 10 years ago in 2016. Mine was the incoming water line, not sewer. Which is good because I think the sewer line goes under my driveway. But it was still expensive. ($3600.) At least I got to have some fun with it. 🤪
