Doctor: it doesn't change the treatment at all if the ribs are broken

Me: yeah, I don't need treatment. I told triage I had very little pain. I just want you to document the damage my landlord caused to my body.

Yeah, I know there's nothing wrong with my lungs. The pain when breathing is very clearly from the ribs, and is my only symptom. I am not at all short of breath.

Doctor: so... Do you want the rib xray?

Me, incredulous: yes, that is very literally the only reason I'm here why are you wasting time?
