i think the two things i miss most are:
- not needing to always manually call `free`
- Options / Results
these two things alone honestly do *so much* to even *just* code readability, i've been taking them for granted this whole time lol

considering tearing down the PDS on my RPi (i haven't been messing with it much lately unforch), and there's an ASN called 't4t labs' that's subscribed apparently?? kind of awesome lol

i keep a list of problems i have with GIMP, and every time i have to open the damn thing i end up adding one to the list
GIMP is objectively unintuitive and also can’t parse text layers of PSDs properly, it’s designed by FOSS people that have never created tools for professionals. Telling someone to use it for their job is like saying you can make a feature on iMovie. Technically true but not serious.
if you find GIMP hard to use you probably shouldn't be allowed to drive a car or shop at a grocery store. it's literally just buttons with pictures on them that do the things the pictures represent. you don't even need to be able to read.

only now started reading through K&R C, and as weird as it feels to say, it's made me understand Rust more. like i've always intellectually understood the importance of the borrow checker and what it does, but something about reading C helps it click 🙂↕️

on the one hand: starting with a pi pico is nice because the docs are super clear and comprehensive
on the other hand i suspect i am now completely spoiled by the docs
