Dear Australian news media,
I have zero interest in your daily coverage of everything Pauline Hanson says and does.

Yes, report her policies (when she releases them). But also report the policies of the Greens too. For balance. With some factual analysis of both. Do some bloody #journalism! #auspol

I want people to understand the full impact of the devastation that First Nations in Canada are facing. It's NOT just that people and wildlife are losing their homes...it's the history that is being lost for generations to come.

Let me tell you the tale of the single worst LinkedIn post ever posted, and what it means about Norway's climate psyche.

Thread. I'm listening with horror to this BBC interview, which is ostensibly about climate change. Liam Young is an Australian architect who saw Blade Runner and decided "that's the vision of the future we need." Wait, what?🧵

Me on the phone: I will just bring you a copy

My dad: YOU NEED A GUARANTEED SALE. I'M BUYING YOUR BOOK AND SO IS YOUR UNCLE

My uncle from the other room: you will sell two books don't turn this down

My dad: no one even buys books anymore don't turn this down

The NDIS changes were debated in Parliament last night and I made a point of giving voice to a family that would be impacted by the proposed reforms.

Yes reform is needed, but not like this. This bill will be detrimental for many NDIS participants and unless it's amended I will oppose it. #auspol

All I know is that this moment necessitates a doubling, tripling down on anti-racist, anti-nationalist slop, rather than a huge effort to mimic, repeat and rhyme with the racist party

And just..wow, is it hard to find the former, and hard to avoid the latter, when you look at what's being said

Unlike other AUKUS signatories, Australia hasn’t undergone a transparent review of its obligations under AUKUS. We are cutting essential services in other sectors whilst paying more and more to extend the life of outdated hardware, all while awaiting submarines that might never arrive.

There was a nature poetry evening at our public library tonight. So amazing to be a in room with 50-odd other people, just listening to words (and some music!) There were tears and laughter. Nods and murmurs of appreciation. Applause. Hugs. Smiles of recognition, promises of a catch-up soon
