Truth bomb dropped.
it’s so rude that bread costs like 10 cents and 45 seconds of effort to make but you need to know you’re gonna want it at least 3 hours beforehand

So proud of my sister and her book!
I’m proud that my book won the Victoria Urbano prize this year for best monograph from the Association of Gender and Sexuality Studies. Writing can feel so isolating so I am incredibly honored by this recognition! #academic #book www.aegs-agss.com/premios-vu-2...

Will want to see this go through peer review but some interesting findings (and obvious to anyone who pays attention)
“A single-payer universal health care system could cover every American, save more than 100,000 lives a year, and still cost $1 trillion less than the system it would replace, according to a new preprint study led by researchers at the Yale School of Public Health.”

I missed #LetterboxdFriday, so I'm putting up my #lastFourWatched on Saturday instead. Weird week for film for me; double featuring Citizen Kane and Masters of the Universe.

Triumphant return to #letterboxdFriday! Here are my #lastFourWatched

Worth a read. Klippenstein is doing the work and is a consistent bastion of knowledge and information

#letterboxdFriday, y'all! My #lastFourWatched this week:
I cannot believe I was born in the 80s but has never seen 9 to 5 - the pot scene? Perfection. I liked TDWP2, though not enough as the OG. Zootopia was fine, loved watching it with my sister. Crime 101 felt very 90s coded (complimentary)

Sometimes exciting things fall into your lap and you just want to shout to the Internet! Cryptically :)

Ahhh!

On this #LetterboxdFriday, my #lastFourWatched includes a fun movie-that-is-a-stage-play with some great performances, a hokey rewatch, a revenge fantasy, and a scifi classic that I genuinely don't understand how anyone misinterprets

Happy #LetterboxdFriday! My #lastFourWatched included some climbing documentaries that I watched with my climbing ladies (Girl Climber was so good), a dumb fun Jack Black comedy, and a pretty great thriller that I knew nothing about but really liked

Birthday #letterboxdFriday! My #lastFourWatched:

A recorded stage musical that I thought was fun but with some camera choices that felt jarring, a movie I remember from middle school that didn't age perfectly but better than I worried, a gorgeous watercolor French animated film, and a dumb comedy
April 10, 2026 at 9:05 PM
Slow week for movies for me so my #lastFourWatched #letterboxdFriday is only three movies.

A fun rewatch, a comedy special, and finally watching the second Avatar movie. Which I liked more than I expected but also feel had some pretty big plot holes.

#LetteboxdFriday #lastFourWatched #filmsky #moviesky

Weird week for movies. Caught Ready or Not 2 and felt it captured the fun and insanity from the first, romance from 2000 that I enjoyed and get why it shows up on people's lists for favs, monster fare that was really compelling, and a musical

My sister in law is fighting in a charity fight next month. She's a really cool badass and it's a great cause. I donated and hope y'all do too #haymakersforhope #fuckcancer #ladiesbeingbadass #boxing

Happy #LetterboxdFriday to those who celebrate!

Spent some time in the theater this week, so my #lastFourWatched includes a really fun space romp with so much charisma, a classic, an underwhelming and at times incoherent film that I'm still kind of mad about, and a bottle location horror film

#LetterboxdFriday #lastFourWatched #filmsky #moviesky

The back half of this week was two comedy specials that I enjoyed, a truly great Meryl Streep performance (and man, Carrie Fisher could write), and a beloved animated film that is upsettingly ten years old but still lovely

I've been home sick and so have watched many movies. Posting my #lastFourWatched on this here Tuesday because why the hell not.

A nostalgia watch that is not good but was not as terrible as I'd feared it would be, a great 70s crime thriller, British comedic movie, and just beauty in every frame

I am six years late but Animal Crossing New Horizons is exactly the cozy speed I need amidst the horrors

Another week, another #LetterboxdFriday #lastFourWatched #filmsky #moviesky

A Korean crime movie that could have shaved off 45 minutes of its runtime, a loved rewatch, an odd existential comedy, and some good old fashioned violence
