This year’s solo trip is to Shiga! Started off on a gray and rainy foot, but it was quite relaxing. Wandered through and around Hikone Castle, then skipped off to a gorgeous ryokan on Lake Biwa💕

Took Mom to her first ryokan - she handled the futon like a champ!
Then Narai-juku and Akasawa Forest.
It was so good to get out of the city.

Visited the CLAMP exhibition today, and it was amazing! Some of the first manga I ever read were Tokyo Babylon/X when I was a young teen, and SO many of their works have stuck with me over the years.

On my way back from Fukuoka, I stopped in Okayama for a day to unwind. Good food, nice weather, shopping for fun, just perfect.

Two weeks ago I was in Fukuoka for IJET 2025, and it was an absolute blast. I learned so much! And it was great to see old and new faces. Thanks to the organizers for putting on an amazing event!
