When Trump and Hegseth kicked the press corps out of the Pentagon, that coverage got better, from what I can tell. Sure, I bet there are things now missed as a result. But the press is meant to be adversarial and when we get feisty, we do our best work.
Other news organizations should leave the White House. They can of course still cover the administration--almost none of their coverage depends on being there physically. But they shouldn't stay there, raising their hands dutifully in the briefing room, as if it's business as usual.

It is worth saying that it appears that the brave and principled actions of people of Minneapolis and the killings of Alex Pretti and Renee Good seem to have been a legitimate inflection point in American politics. We should carry that forward with us.

Virginia Gov @abigailspanberger.com and Democratic legislature should pass immediate legislation to redistrict anyway. If the old confederate states can do it post Callais - so can Dems in Virginia if they care about saving our democracy.
